Why do American leaders never sound so appreciative of the common people like Chinese leaders? I get that this is an official address and is exaggerated/played up, but the amount of time he spends praising ordinary workers and doctors is completely different from the US, where Trump and Biden seem more angry at your average American if anything
maybe its because the US leadership is so disconected with the common people they dont know how to praise them, like the 600$ were they think that enough for someone to live for 9 months
I have read that the ratio between average Chinese politician’s salary and a worker’s salary is much lower than the ratio between the average American politician’s salary and a worker. That would make sense
ooo fuck i would love to have a source or graphic for that to shove in an anti-communist’s face
America isn’t built on that as it’s justification. America’s propaganda is built on the idea that people should follow their dreams, strike it rich and live a happy life where every person has the ability to do whatever they want. When Trump/Obama/Bush/Clinton get up on stage this is how they are able to justify the American system of government.
In the ideal America I assume Americans want to live in this would be atomized to everyone, but in reality because of the influence of capital it becomes centered on the rich since they ‘won’ the game. The people who are not rich failed. Worse than that even, they are drains on the rich.
Their version is the anecdote about “Marshall, the coal plant worker with three kids”(Republican) or “LaKeisha, the nurse who’s second job is taking care of her sick parents” (Democrat). It’s all so cynical.
The new journey of comprehensively building a modern socialist country is about to start.
