We have to push back on why it “festers and spreads”.
It does that because it’s RIGHT
And it will always do that, over and over again. No matter how many times you murder millions of communists to try and reset the situation. Being correct it just takes time to propagate its ideas, communists don’t convince people to our side, we educate.
I always think about it like this… if every single communist was killed and every shred of writing eliminated, communist thought would still exist in short order due to the very nature of the contradiction of capitalism. Talking to other people and seeing the same thing in myself, reading Marx only gave me language to use to describe the conditions that I’d already noticed by working a normal job.
The Nazis were just wildly successful at defeating fascism, as evidenced by the events of WW2.
Japan, similarly, conquered China and Vietnam.
And who could forget the success of Batista in Cuba or Toro in Bolivia or the Afrikaners in South Africa. All completely devoid of leftists movements in the modern day.
Also the Nazis were definitely primarily known for defeating Communism. Yessir. That’s exactly what happened.
Imagine thinking conservatives have been “laissez faire” in their approach to anticommunism.
Involved a fair bit of recruiting ‘ex’ fascists to work as agents and spooks tbf.
I’m now imagining a meeting of conservative ghouls devolving into a shouting match over whether the government can hire ex fascists directly or whether it would be better to use tax breaks to nurture a competitive free market in ex fascist thugs.
