I think it might be the horniest show in the history of television. Which for me, is a good thing.
I liked a lot of the content, but over time it just turned into a “watch people fuck” show with a lot of the sex being violent and not consentual. there’s only so much of that I can watch happening before I feel like I’m complicit through voyeurism.
kinda one of the reasons is stopped watching Outlander. sexual violation seemed to be an every episode occurance, and not just alluded to, but like happening on camera and centered.
I dunno. with the portrayal of sexual violence or even just the implication, a little goes a long way for me. I don’t need to be hit in the face with it every episode.
It maybe it’s just soft core porn (and often rape porn) with a deeper than usual background story
i loved that show, and then when the lead character irl lost his life to cancer, it didn’t get worse but it’s all i could think about the remaining seasons
not a show but that land before time thing always hurts me to remember, too
I really liked the first season and the prequel season, but never watched the rest of it after Andy Whitfield died. Worth rewatching and actually finishing the show?
