they’ll drop products over monkey labor but not child labor
A lot of this thread is getting mad about the contradiction as if they shouldn’t have cut ties with this company, when from what I can tell, this is a good thing?
It’s laughable of course, but it’s a good thing that we don’t just go “yeah, monkey workers, so” and actually can force a company to stop buying that stuff.
And now it’s a thing to point to when they enable slave labor companies by selling their products.

Not that the forced monkey labor isn’t fucked up but does it bother anyone else that this same shit doesn’t get extrapolated to the use of human slavery in supply chains for e.g. chocolate and diamonds?
