Wait. Comrades, are you trying to tell me that Reddit—home of “Subreddit of the Year” and “Best of Reddit” 2008, /r/jailbait— is full of right-wingers, pedophiles, and rapists? I can’t believe it! They took very clear action to ban those sorts of communities several years later, after advertisers started pressuring them to stop hosting child pornography!

Reddit has always been right wing. When I first made my account it was filled with Ron Paul worship in like 2011.

I don’t have much to contribute to the discussion really, I just want to say your username is incredible hahaha. Reddit has seemed to sway a bit more rightward lately from what I’ve seen though.

I think there is more of a leftist streak in the comments than there used to be. If you look at subs that were anti-cop they used to be the libertarian sov-citizen stuff. Subs like latestagecapitalism weren’t really a thing until a couple of years ago.

Though my measuring stick for reddit is back when shitredditsays was the boogeyman, people were making subs dedicated to watching black people get killed and one of the largest subs was kiddie porn. Current reddit isn’t really any worse.
