I didn’t need Robert Picardo and Jeri Ryan singing a duet of You Are My Sunshine in a Star Trek episode just so they can wank their talent ego. Jason Alexander talking about how hard it was to sing badly for the famous answering machine message. It’s really annoying.
Tv and film production is filled with insane people, the problem has only compounded
One weekend I was channel surfing and noticed a marathon of Tarzan movies that went on for over 24 hours so I decided I would watch a couple of them. I quickly noticed that each movie had several scenes where Tarzan would have to unnecessarily jump into some water and swim for a bit, and the actor was damn good at it. I looked him up and he was an Olympic swimmer before getting into acting.
The movies were absolutely terrible. I’m assuming it was less of the actor wanting to show off and more of the writers needing to pad time.
