just so awful in so many ways. the dialogue is so fucking trash. the fight scenes are weak as hell so far. they also have this extremely weird mix of super futuristic technology but then some things like the military is unchanged which doesn’t make any sense at all. the military is the one who is going to have the utmost newest technology.
i also don’t get this whole plot with this conspiracy theorist guy who they called Bernie lol. Like and then they use old dumb conspiracy theories with him instead of doing at least SOMETHING more original that relates to the actual plot. i don’t even have the energy to write up how much this movie sucks so far tbh, idk if i’m even going to finish it lol
edit: final verdict is not worth watching. there is so much unexplained stuff. there is also this super powerful weapon they give kong and it doesn’t even have a name which i find hilariously stupid to not give such an iconic thing even so much as a name. It would be like not naming mjolnir. I just wanted a fun dumb movie to chill and drink some beers to but there was so much bad with it, rather wish i never watched it
My favorite part of these movies is watching all the twitter cool kids try to pretend like THIS move is really good but the LAST low brow superhero movie or whatever was terrible.

idk if you noticed or if this is a take but it seemed like they tried really hard to make some of the actors a thing. idk some of them were just not good but they played a big part, and whenever i see that it usually means someone funding/casting the movie is doing a favor for them or a studio is attempting to fabricate a new big actor.
infinitely mad the resident evil movies got hijacked like that. milla jovovich is not a good actor, she basically only knows how to deliver 3 types of lines and relies solely on CGI to fill in everything. i mean the movies deviated from the source material to the point of being unrecognizable was the bigger problem, but there was serious nepotism going on and it’s too common in that industry.
