I think it’s rather good if you like GW2:
- If you like exploring and don’t have the Skyscale: it has a cheaper and faster way of getting it compared to from War Eternal (Dragonfall).
- If you like the GW2 story: it’s a standalone story that continues after the Dragon Saga and doesn’t require you to have finished it beforehand, and the first map is almost entirely made of thought experiments of unexplored lore and previous story bits.
- If you like buildcrafting: you get access to Weaponmaster training, which allows you to unify the weapon pool on each class (so any Mesmer can use Shield or mainhand Dagger, regardless of specializations).
- If you like grinding or legendaries and don’t raid: there’s an upcoming legendary armor set that can technically be earned by farming rifts.
I don’t know what specifically you found mid about EoD, but I’d say if you’re not too excited about what I showed up there, then you can wait for a sale.
Best way to handle a suicide call is to go in guns blazing, obviously. Can’t kill yourself if we kill you first. :think-about-it:
From the same rag that brought you “if your friends are obese, you’re more likely to be obese” and implied that the reverse of obese is “studious, kind, and enterprising” literally less than a month ago.
Korean MMOs with chance-based progression are some of the most predatory bullshit I’ve ever seen. I’m so glad I grew out of that stuff years ago.
This isn’t specifically BDO, but someone made a post on R*ddit a few months back for this other extremely predatory game, where his buddy fails over 100 50% chance rolls in a row. Clearly, that’s a bug (if we’re being generous), but it was never communicated to the playerbase. The same company got into a huge lawsuit a few months ago too where they admitted that there was another separate chance-based system that misled the entire playerbase. I wouldn’t be surprised if BDO rates were somehow “accidentally” lower than expected.
Anyone with “cynic” in their Twitter handle or bio is at best insufferably lib and thinks they’re clever or outright fash.
