Being a dad is the best. I never knew I could love someone as much as I love my kids. I have conflicting feelings of them being the most important thing in my life and me being a piece of shit for bringing them into the world we currently find ourselves in. Yeah the world’s always been fucked, but it just feels like right now there’s a huge chance it gets worse throughout my children’s lives and a very small chance it gets better. Real doomer hours in my head lately

All this to say, I would never tell anyone not to have kids, it’s none of my business. But I also very much understand people who don’t want to. A lot of people become parents and just constantly pressure everyone they know to have kids. It’s strange.

This has been on my mind more and more lately. It really all boils down to whether or not you give a shit about other people. Somebody has to work at Walmart and McDonald’s or you won’t be able to go to those places, so why would it be so terrible if those people had a dignified life??
