It depends on the poll you’re looking at, but men make up a little over half of US gamers,

Being serious for a second, polls that say that are kinda bunk, but for a different reason than the pic in the OP. It’s kinda like asking about the gender split of “movie watchers” - it’s a useless number because it’s too broad to tell anyone anything about anything. Individual genre and platforms tend to have very different splits than the roughly even split for all games. For example, women are huge in the mobile gaming market, big in MMOs but a smaller percentage in console and PC gaming, and a small percentage in FPS games, that kind of thing. I’d be curious what the breakdown looks like for a PS5/PC horror game - it’s almost certainly not 95/5 but it’s probably not close to 50/50 either.

It’s really just weird Christians convinced that if you eat enough bran flakes you won’t think about sex, updated for the 21st century.

It wasn’t just bran flakes - his whole schtick was about living life in as unstimulating a fashion as possible. Food that isn’t as dull and bland as possible might inflame the passions, and passion for something that doesn’t taste like cardboard might translate into passion of another kind. His original flakes were unsweetened, as were his contemporary Graham’s crackers in order to be as tasteless as possible.

Routine infant circumcision is a thing in the US because of the corn flakes nutter, the idea was that circumcision would reduce masturbation by cutting off a bunch of erogenous tissue without actually limiting your ability to reproduce. He also had a procedure for girls that involved burning the clitoris with acid to reduce sensitivity, but that one never took off to mass appeal and is illegal in every state now.

They and Pyramid Head are the warped expressions of James’ desires.

Left out Maria there, who is essentially a sex fantasy version of Mary born from his frustrated sexuality.

…so long as Maria is attractive and relatively sexualized (since she represents his frustrated sexuality, she’s essentially born of a sex fantasy version of his dead wife) and the nurses keep a sort of distorted mixture of overtly feminine features that could be attractive but not together, and are firmly in the uncanny valley and just…wrong.

Angela has less of a concern over what kind of design they go with, since she’s not a projection of James’ psyche. So anything that resembles the character from the original is fine. Maybe not the picture from the OP since that seems way out of line for the tone, but aside from that…

Someone on here said Kamala will win the popular vote but lose the electoral college so I’m going with that.

That could easily happen if she’s popular in CA by a massive margin but not so popular elsewhere. That’s how it worked for the other times this has happened in recent history - the margin in CA being so large that the national margin is smaller than the CA margin.

Yeah, but that’s all of them. Israel as our only real ally in the ME gets whatever Israel wants and neither major party is about to change that over a little genocide.

I’ll make a safe one - regardless of who wins, about 1/6 of the country is going to lose their fucking minds and claim the election was “stolen” or some similar language indicating that the win wasn’t legitimate. If Harris wins it will be “stolen”, if Trump wins they will use a different word because calling an election “stolen” is right wing and thus icky.

Regardless of who wins, there will be recounts requested in at least two states and lawsuits filed regarding the election in at least one - these numbers will be much higher if Harris wins.

Put odds of a riot if Trump wins at about 50/50, odds of a riot if Harris wins at about 75%.

Yeah, well, he makes them a lot of money. The TOS only applies to people who don’t make them a lot of money. Same as it’s always been.

You do know there’s a big difference between a “default” option and a “mandatory” setting, right? Specifically that you do, in fact, have a choice to change a default?

Not forcing the user to proactively make a choice is not the same thing as denying the user the ability to choose.
