Shower every 3rd or 4th day & use a bar of soap/washcloth. My skin seems to prefer less washing over more. It was at it’s best when I had no access to any shower whatsoever for a year - the only wash it got was jumping into a body of water.

Might have good luck with less attention or I might have highly privelaged skin, but traditionally it’s always been either dry as shit from too much washing or stuck in a grease production feedback loop from getting washed too much. Seem to have found a middle ground these days
