you’re probably an idiot. I know I am.
Yeah what I’ve realized over time is that while no ethical consumption (or work) exists under capitalism, specifically unethical consumption and work definitely does.
Nobody is truly 100% free of the cycle of abuse, but certain people are specifically perpetrators of it. I couldn’t take being one.
This was me. I went into banking because I wanted to make money and naively thought it was a harmless service industry. Cue years later and I just can’t handle going to work and feeling like a bad person everyday who is pushing evil in the world, so I call it quits.
Haven’t made anywhere near as much money in the decade plus since then, but I also don’t wake up feeling like I’m harming my community every day, so I haven’t regretted my decision for even a minute.
Facts. We have a burger place like this that people love for some reason, but I swear they most the mid-quality burgers for $20+. It’s crazy that people keep going there, imo.
The problem with loss is the impact of it is …ahem… lost without the context of what an enormous douchebag Tim Buckley was online at that time. Like part of what makes loss so ridiculous is the audacious sanctimonious nature of the comic coming from the internet’s least-likable egotist and troll. You can read as many KYM wikis as you want, but if you weren’t around to witness what a fucking shitbag Buckley was during that time then you can’t really feel the way loss hit when it hit.
Starring a wrestler? Yep, uninterested
They don’t for me, tbh. Part of what was fun about prestige classes for me was that there was multiple ways to get to them. It was something a character, theoretically any character in most cases, could work towards regardless of where they started. Like a Bladesinger may have started as a fighter, a bard, a wizard, or more. It felt like a whole world of character possibilities. Archetypes feel more like a doctor picking their specialty of study, at least to me
Until prestige classes are a thing I’m sticking with 3.5
This. OnlyFans is the “farm to table” of the porn industry and people feel differently about stealing from a small family farm than they do from Walmart.
Also, beyond just the guilt aspect, that same “farm to table” principle also means that a lot of people see OnlyFans as a fair and reasonable exchange with minimal unnecessary exploitation. Paying a major porn company feels scummy and gross and may make you feel complicit with the various evils of the industry; subbing to an OnlyFans can feel more like a donation to a creator who makes content you enjoy.
Yep, Lemmy has been basically non-functional for me since the upgrade.
Really sucks.
Pfft, Degrassi the Next Generation kicked Degrassi’s ass.
Also the more respectable answers like Star Trek TNG, FMA Brotherhood, and The Office too, but I stand by Degrassi TNG > Degrassi!
