The Bicentennial Trail is super interesting, as someone who has driven to Cooktown (and beyond) from Melbourne the thought of walking there is absolutely insane. You’d definitely experience some insane weather and landscape changes.
The Pacific Crest is the dream, the cost and prep makes my eyes fall out my skull though.
Both are on my bucket list! There’s also the Larapinta Trail which I think can take about a month. I honestly don’t think I could deal with the constant heat of hiking through Central Australia.
Being hulled up in my room unable to move has had me homesick for the outdoors for the last couple of days, so I’ve been watching someone hike the Appalacian Trail in the US and its so soothing. Also really wish we had more stuff like that here, I mean we have some long hikes but nothing like some of the ones they have over there.
Mother has advise she will be stopping by to drop off some things and to make sure I am still alive. Not going to lie even if I can only stare at her from a distance I think it will be nice for my brain.
Also on a high note, I opened my curtains a little bit today for the first time since Sunday and have cracked the window for a little fresh air. Still feel disgusting, and it appears my immune system is non-existent as I break out in all sorts of things, but at least I have some freshness coming at me.
Thought I’d give the housemate a break from making my meals since I still can’t touch any shared spaces, so I ordered some lunch with enough leftovers for tea and jesus fkn christ it’s highway robbery out there.
This covid shit is no fkn joke, it’s absolutely gutted me, its kind of scary. The fatigue is also something I’ve never felt before, I’m awake for 30mins tops, and then I’m out again until I wake myself from sweating through everything.
Well after all this time, I have caught covid. I’m sooooo fkn sick it’s insane, if my teeth aren’t chattering with the fever I’m just crying.
Not only do I have a big old coldsore, I also slipped twice this morning while trimming my beard… I will be in the very very back of the Christmas photos hiding my shame.
