If you a are a communist AND a worker (both are important), then you can materially contribute by direct class struggle. For example, you can unionize ur workplace, or radicalize existing unions, and achieve real wage gains, and other gains through strikes and other types of direct action. This is something that will directly benefit you, make your life easier, and contribute to the communist movement, because communism itself is nothing but the free association of producers. Once ur union is successful, you can try to make it constantly bigger, go international, get more organized, more focused on medium and longer term goals rather than just short term ones etc.
Any attempts at trying to form a communist movement that doesnt involve class struggle, for example by forming parties that have no relation to workplaces, can only benefit the movement if the party is committed to ideological struggle, to clarification of views and aims, ruthless criticism of all that exists etc. If a party is splitting, it is evidence of the failure of original party to achieve any clarification or formation of coherent views and aims.
So don’t be discourage by news like this. As a member of the working class, simply engaging in class struggle is the most useful praxis you can do. Party splitting doesnt mean communism is dying, it is evidence that the party never had what it took in the first place. It is not the fault of this organizing principle or that person, it is a fault in the very ideological core of the party.
Lock the room and force them to read all 3 volumes of Capital. Then make them pass a PhD level exam on the book for their freedom.
Why is forming a union such a bureuacratic process? Just make a Facebook group and declare yourself a union lol.
