I’m not machine learning person but I’ve been following this stuff like everyone else, and I don’t think it can actually “have sources” because it doesnt like “do research” and analyse and understand texts to produce its answers.

So it’s more like a simulation of an explanation of how a response on that topic might be sourced. Which we should expect to include real world sources, if its a good simulation. But as we’ve seen from critics its a process that can also produce “hallucinations”
