Starting to feel more and more like I’m intruding on the private chat of a highschool class
It’s been like that for a while here, I’ve given up on any serious political discussion since this place has settled into a “kids shitposting” zeitgeist
it’s less individuals being un-serious and more that there are obvious hot-button topics that a significant portion of the userbase doesn’t have the ability to approach without going full blast “found a liberal on reddit” incoherent. It’s not worth discussing some stuff because you’ll just end up fending off bad faith arguments, so we’re basically just a meme aggregator.
Be as serious as you want. I’m just really sick of the Shrek memeing or any other really repetitive gag being overdone while adding nothing to it to actually make it funny. It’s just annoying.
