Every once in a while I get that ominous feeling that killing and specially making animals suffer just for me to eat meat, fish and lactose is extremely wrong, but then I kinda forget.
I kinda see myself hunting wild game though so it’s weird.
Can we compromise and keep eggs milk and cheese? I know it’s selfish but those would be way harder for me to give up.
I would argue that eggs could be produced ethically, though they would likely be a lot more expensive to do so, but dairy is pretty indefensible, imo.
Backyard chickens can certainly live a good life if they’re well cared for, and I don’t really have much of a problem with that, but if we’re talking about the societal level, the amount of land and water required to scale it is insanely high compared to plants. If you’re not talking about keeping them on cleared land, and instead keeping them in wooded areas, that’s cool, but also has it’s own issues. Overall, though… if you have the land, raise some pet chickens and eat their eggs.

Not sure if the downbears are from milk drinkers, or vegans who can’t read
Yeah that’s the thing for me when it comes to dairy products, that they ultimately rely on factory farming. Raising chickens and eating their eggs I dont have as much a problem with
…Is that really what you think people are talking about?
When they talk about raping cows, it’s because of this:
