Title says it all. Inspired by this shirt I saw online just now. Also, anywhere know where I can snag this drip?
So I guess this is 1/2 serious post, 1/2 shit post.
“Noooooo you’re going to alienate the troops who could have been radicalized :so-true: . This is counter productive. So what if they did some war crimes. Capitalism made them do it. :so-true: . They definitely didn’t sign up for it.”
Don’t forget its sequel, “Say fellow hexbears, doesn’t joining the national guard sound like a great idea?”
rejecting people who have been trained in small unit tactics because they made a dumb choice at 18 before their brains fully developed :so-true:
most people in the military just do regular jobs
before like 2018 most american kids didn’t get exposed to left ideas at virtually any point in their lives
anti troop memes are funny and i laugh at them but you’re gonna have to allow for people who have learned shit at some point after they signed away their lives to the military to get out of whatever shitty situation they were in, we are the most propagandized people on the planet and that shit does work on young brains very well
Nah. Rehabilitated leftist vets exist. But like Bunhead said, it isn’t on us to accept them as is. It’s on them to prove it that they are no longer the reactionary pos they used to be. Also, calling it “dumb choice” isn’t fair on the thousands who don’t serve the military for the college or the Camaro. And the" kids joining military because of being poor" is a debunked myth.
i guess i’m unaware of how’s it’s a debunked myth. I know those recruiter motherfuckers were in my highschool cafeteria using all kinds of weird frat style techniques to try to sign stupid kids up, what’s debunked?
edit: I just remembered for the first time in a very long time my friend’s interaction with one of those gi joe dipshits in the cafeteria. He was a big dude, goth-ish or maybe emo, sat down at this table empty table because none of the rest of us were there and a gi jerk sat down and tried to engage with him by asking him if he liked heavy metal (he did). He said nah i don’t listen to music, i don’t like it. Recruiter pauses, thinks for a moment, then asks him if he likes to blow things up. Friend said uhhh, what? and left.
