Is this what America is actually like? I find it hard to picture the US in my head. Things like “Wall-mart” and “Bill-boards” aren’t really things in my country. We have ads, way too many ads, sure, but this sort of thing just doesn’t seem to exist over here. Billboards seem entirely used to show off local radio stations around here. This sort of thing is…confusing to me.

Have you seen the images of Breezewood, Pennsylvania? The striking thing about images of that town is that it looks like literally anywhere in America. Half of the country looks like giant signs next to a highway. Ocean to ocean of billboards, 6 lane dangerous roads, gas stations, and McDonald’s. That’s what we did to this place and it’s what the natives were displaced to build. Death to America.

The thing that sticks out most to me is the gift shop. Why does that place have a gift shop?

lots of towns like that have little knick-knack shops because small towns in America only exist to facilitate people who are passing through. That’s often the only local economy other than the school district, Wal-Mart, or various real estate scams. The gift shops are for truck drivers on 14 hour shifts driving cross country. I have no idea what they sell but I’m guessing it’s full of sports memorabilia.

There was a pussy-assed loser in Greensboro, NC named John Hammer who ran a bankrupted conservative shitrag called the Rhinoceros Times who always argued in favor of billboards because he’s shitty at travelling and doesnt know how maps work.

Sorry, we’re an American vassal, no nukes, and we’ll probably be matching you guys in 10-20 years. I just want to know what I’m in for.

This is what rural Georgia roads look like in particular. The state immediately north of Florida. Last time I was in Georgia I saw a ton of billboards like this.

To be clear, there are places in America that are the exception to this, but those are gentrified to hell and back so good luck living there.
