Cuba/Dprk isolated states that had powerful foreign backing mixed in with US incompetence. Atleast Cuba has some kind of elections. Vietnam and China are still around because of their geographics and their capitalist economic model
Class is when you own things and has nothing to do with more abstact things like institutional power
