Cuba/Dprk isolated states that had powerful foreign backing mixed in with US incompetence. Atleast Cuba has some kind of elections. Vietnam and China are still around because of their geographics and their capitalist economic model

The purges were gutting the fifth column out of the Soviet Union.
There were fifth columns alll over Europe at the time that the slightest touch of the Nazi army and the fifth column rose up from Spain/Denmark/France/Czechoslovakia/Finland/Hungary etc
But apparently there wouldn’t be a fifth column in the Red Army despite it housing a lot of White Guardists who had fought on the side of the Whites only 20 years previously

They were guilty traitors that got what was coming to them
please tell me how the workerrs killed murdered their political enemies and then still ended up losing all power and getting a full dose of privatization. How is this ever possible if the state was run collectively
