IIRC the etymology of the “con” suffix is from “complex” as in “oedipus complex”, which is to say it means someone is attracted to whatever group makes up the first half of the word. The oedipus complex in particular would be translated as “mothercon”. Again IIRC, the “loli” in lolicon comes in a roundabout way from Lolita, the book by Vladimir Nabokov about a pedophile.
