It’s extra funny because Phillip comes from the Greek royal family except the Greek royal family is a bunch of German/Danish weirdos who just showed up after the country’s liberation and were like “Hallo, vee are seiner royals now! Mein name is Glucksburg, king of zee Greeks!” and somehow this was a thing for like a century, and lots of “patriotic” chuds still go nuts about them.
In Denmark the Greek Glücksburgs are still referred to as kings and princes and whatnot of Greece, a country who explicitly decided not to have a monarchy.
It’s like saying you’re still dating someone who publicly dumped you.
