Luv 2 have to wake up before dawn and drive for 45 minutes to somewhere I don’t want to go without getting paid for it seriously why aren’t we paid for every single second we have to give to work including the time we have to put in to getting to work
We’d have invented fucking teleportation by now if capitalists had to pay for time spent commuting.
:porky-happy: You have the freedom to choose where to live! You accepted the wages at the rate we offered, it’s up to YOU to decide what to do with them! Freedom of choice is the only freedom I recognize, now get in your fucking car like a good little pain piggy just like everyone else and show up on time or I’ll impoverish you and your family with heavy disciplinary action!
Im not workimg remotely we have to clock in at the office with a finger scanner :agony-deep:
lifehack, you and your work buddy each chop off your finger and give to the other, so you can take turns clocking eachother in.
I have a new job, and basically from my first email, until my last email, I count as working (minus my lunch break). If i choose to work on my bus commute in the morning, I am absolutely adding that. the bus ride home will probably be braindead listening to music, so I won’t count that.
I hate that a requirement for literally any job is “own a 1.5 ton metal death trap, operate it according to legal standards, and spend your off-hours doing maintenance on it”
like just let me work at the library why do I gotta also operate heavy machinery as part of it
Yeah morning commutes are awful but when I was commuting I particularly hated the evening commute, when traffic is far worse than in the morning and I just keenly want to be already home every second of it.
Yeah I get up early as shit so I have some actual daylight after work and the morning bike commute is pretty nice, for a commute. Empty streets so I can just ride the lane, traffic lights are mostly off because there’s hardly any traffic. Shit’s cool. I mean also painful because it makes clear how much we surrender to cars, but it’s nice.
Going back and having to stop at a traffic light every 300m while nearly getting hit twice sucks every ride sucks though
