Just pay people 5k/jab.
They should have paid people 5k/wk to stay home in the early days and then paid people a grip to get vaccinated. If you take the 5k you contractually obligated to stay in place during the lockdown.
Instead they blew 20k/person on airlines & businesses because apparently that’s what matters
Things would have been a whole lot different if they gave people a real fucking incentive & showed that they would take REAL MEANINGFUL action towards curbing the thing
In an ideal society we wouldn’t have even had this pandemic in the first place. For that reason, I’m going to remain neutral.
I will point out that those most responsible for COVID are the billionaires that stole and sat on vaccine patents and the bosses that forced their employees to work. Those should be the people suffering from COVID.
You see, this is a good precedent. Vaccines aren’t that effective in reducing virus transmission (that’s up to the states, remember) but they are good at reducing hospitalization and severe illness, which companies shouldn’t have to pay PTO, sick leave, or increased insurance costs for.
