Which VPN should I get before I move to China?

Hi everyone,

I’ll be moving to Hangzhou, China in a little over a month to do a postdoc. Does anything know what VPN I should be using there? From a google search, it seems that people are recommending Express VPN but I get the impression that a lot of these recommendations were sponsored.

Thanks for linking this article, first good points against them that I’ve seen

I’m kinda curious about their other site though (they mention writing another article about ProtonMail in the blog post). I’m getting some crank vibes from the articles. The way ProtonMail loves taking down random blog posts criticizing them is suspicious, though.

are there any email services that won’t send your info to intelligence agencies? I just assume that they all do regardless of how much super duper encryptiony shit they promise but maybe I’m wrong
