Nothing against them personally. I just hate having to explain what I want because I have no idea what I want :billionaire-tears: that or I have to show them a picture of who I want to look like and it’s embarrassing because there’s a 98% chance the style won’t work with my head shape and face and I’m just sitting there showing him a picture of some model while I look like :walking-dead: then it becomes even more awkward when trying to request a correction because it looks bad
I haven’t even gotten a haircut yet. I’m just looking at my local barbers and they have decent reviews but the pictures people post and rave about have styles that don’t interest me at all.
Socialism or Barberism
I have two hair styles: :walter-shock: and :youre-welcome:
You can just tell em “look I’m gonna be honest with you, I have no idea what I want or what looks good on me, but this is too long/shaggy/whatever so I’m just gonna trust your judgement here”
Then if it looks good you say “hey wow this looks good, what do I ask for if I want this done next time”
And if it doesn’t, just grow it out and start again
I feel like this is partially a confidence & socialization thing.
I used to dread it so much and feel so terrible for being annoying, I also hate getting my haircut and am always disappointed. But last time I went I was in a good mood, so I was just overly honest about what I wanted and my insecurities about it. I feel like we communicated much better that way. I just had a better time too.
Haircut was still kinda trash, but better than most?? I think the trash part is me :)
