My books have a number of distinct advantages over your iPad.

And when I get old and die, I can hand on my books to my children. If I have a Kindle, what am I going to do? Hand an old Kindle that will undoubtedly be completely obsolete down to them?

I use an ereader on planes all the time. I get that this is just a masturbatory rant, but can you imagine not understanding that you could turn wifi off? You generally want to anytime you aren’t downloading because it drastically impacts the battery life for the e-ink models.

How long does it take to reach altitude, its like 5-10 minutes? Congrats dude you get 10 minutes extra reading done during the only cool part of a plane ride when you get to look out over the landscapes shrinking below you, what a fucking dork holy shit.
