Like, a phrase that captures a life lesson that you’ve learned. Something that condenses the experience down into a phrase that you can use as a reminder, or maybe something you’ve shared with other people to help them.

For me, I’ve learned that you never realize that you’re living in happier times until they’re behind you.

To my kids I’d say: “Don’t do what you can’t do. Do what you can do.”

To myself: “It never ceases to amaze me how people continue to create the very world that torments them.”

Anecdotes are anecdon’ts.

Never assume right wing arguments are given in good faith. You’ll be a lot healthier that way. They’re probably lying, vastly overstating a “consensus” amongst experts or laypeople, using spurious leaps of logic, expanding a single example to be representative of a whole etc. often multiple

Don’t trust landlords.

I am not responsible for everything wrong with my life. I’m responsible for some of it, and having a realistic assessment of my failures and systemic failures is important for my growth and mental health.

If a corporation uses a meme for advertising, it is officially dead.

Some of these could be shortened.
