“Real estate investment” should be an oxymoron. Who benefits from a house being “invested” in?

If they mean putting money in fixing up a house, that’s one thing I guess…but I don’t think I will ever understand rich people.

it’s a way to convince people that they actually own private property and confuse class loyalties.

A man enters a house, kills everyone inside it, and plants a For Sale sign on the front porch.

Another man approaches and asks about the property. He is told that home ownership is the only way to defend yourself from the guy going around town brutalizing people.

maybe you’re so privileged that you don’t have stress in your life, and don’t need to be a terrible abusive monster who dominates and terrorizes those weaker than you. how nice for you, in your privileged little life.

ugh, wow, don’t cringe your privilege at me. sometimes you just need to do atrocities to someone weaker and less privileged than yourself! maybe someone like you who doesn’t have any life stresses just can’t ever understand. that’s okay.

Many women seeking independence after a breakup or divorce have discovered emotional empowerment and even healing in real estate investment.

I wonder what constitutes “many” to this author. Out of all the women in the world seeking independence after a breakup, what percentage of them have the means to buy real estate for “self-care”?

All women have the means to invest in real estate. If they didn’t, that would mean they were not people who matter and thus not part of “all”
