My (White) Grandmother watched TOS when it came out and always liked her character the best. I remember her telling me how mad people got when she and Kirk kissed. RIP to a great one.

I will always think her work with NASA and getting kiddos and students involved with the sciences is a great part of her legacy. She helped create a new generation of thinkers, do-ers, and explorers both on and off the screen. What a cool person, she we live on in the arts and sciences as her influence is far and wide.
