Ok look it’s either the “Chinese people eat disgusting things like bats and pangolins and that’s why COVID happened” or the “The damn Chinese unleashed a bioweapon from the Wuhan lab”
I can only keep one racist explanation in my head at one time.
Think I remember, wasn’t there a report posted here a couple months ago that concluded Wuhan was most likely? A few comrades with experience in science or virology or something read into it and said it was fairly conclusive. Can’t remember the exact details and can’t find it now.
And in case anyone goes “Wait how’d it cross over twice!?” it does make sense, if there’s a virus in a populations of let’s say bats that’s capable of infecting humans, any infected bat could give it to another bat or to a human. If it’s capable of jumping once a second jump totally makes sense
The biggest solid evidence I remember is that the evolutionary lines all lead back to China in a way that they wouldn’t if it had been in other places first
I’m not convinced it was engineered in Ft Detrick, but I am convinced that it originated in the United States.
Why? All signs still point to animals as the source.
I don’t think it has to be this big conspiracy, it’s not like this would be the first time it happened.
