This cannot be stressed enough: THE CYBERTRUCK IS AN INVESTMENT SCAM
IT WILL NEVER BE MADE
IT IS NOT REAL
thx 4 ur attention
The more I hear about it, the more I believe this
It’s just so ludicrously stupid for a litany of easily provable reasons, and is being put forward by a(n) (admittedly pretty stupid) guy who owns an automotive company
I refuse to believe he isn’t at least informed by others around him as to it’s flaws, which means either
-
He really is so brazenly, arrogantly stupid as to push something potentially illegal due to it’s terrible design choices or
-
It’s a scam
Both are funny at least
How tf is that thing supposed to be legal? No side mirrors, no crumple zones, does it even have airbags? And I’m pretty sure those things are mandated in modern cars!
They might be angling for some kind of “recreational vehicle” classification, which would be hilarious because it would mean you can’t drive your cybertruck on a highway.
IIRC pickups are classified as “light trucks” and lots of safety stuff is optional. Of course, most manufacturers try to make them as safe as normal SUVs anyway.
It doesn’t have airbags, no.
Not that it matters though. It will literally never be a consumer production car. It’s a higher end version of the dancing guy in a robot suit.
they will be sold with the mirrors like the one that was shown recently as it is kinda of a legal thing that a car must be sold with the side mirrors, but they are removable, so you take away all the responsability of the company and makes it into individual responsability, now it is your fault if you ever want to do it as elon intended
Cars in the stricter EU markets are being sold without side mirrors and use cameras instead ve cause it improves fuel efficiency and makes cars like the Honda-e easier to park in dense urban environments.
It seems like they neglected to hire anyone who works in compliance… or has ever designed a car.
pretty sure it was reported that everyone who worked on compliance was fired/quit from twitter lol
Hired? Elon probably told some elementary school kid to ‘draw a car’ and then decide to go with that
An indestructible window is also bad if you’re stuck, the car is on fire, and firefighters are trying to get to you
I always get a kick out of people who think older cars are safer because they are “built like a tank” and don’t dent in collisions. All that means is the squishy occupants inside become the crumple zones.
At least the car will still be in good condition for its next owner. Just gotta hose off the interior.
Watching crash test footage of some old gigantic car hitting something modern will show how far we’ve come in terms of passenger safety.
Leftists: There’s too many truck drivers on the road
:melon-musk:: Invents a truck that will kill anyone who drives it.
Pick a lane, lefties. :kelly:
