An eldritch being currently borrowing the face of a catgirl has informed me that many recipients of the Peace Prize are war criminals, so this isn’t super surprising.
Who would be the funniest recipient? The price hasn’t been something to respect at any point in my lifetime, but what would be the most wildly inappropriate person to give it to? Bush is up there, but I think it would be funnier to give it to Trump. Not because Trump is worse, but because he hasn’t faded from public view as much. Funnier still would be if the committee decided to award the price to themselves, with some explanation about how the competition to be the most peaceful that they have fostered has done more for peace in the world than any other single group or person. The most funny thing that might actually happen is them coming up with a reason to give it to Zelensky.
