I have come to suspect the proportion of Trans/GNC and even Gay people in the population is actually much higher and only modestly correlated with Autism and ADHD. Those traits simply make being Trans something that you simply can’t mask forever.
There’s probably a huge mass of neurotypicals just miserable, but smothered under the weight of their vulnerability to social pressure.
I agree with this 100%. The amount of demi-gender-adjacent people who just identify as cis is substantial, at the very least. But the whole “what if I told you there was a pill that could turn you into the opposite gender” routine is a kind of cliche for a reason. A lot of people just do not have the language to express this aspect of themselves.

We really need to stop letting people put poison in their bodies, especially children! Ban chemo for kids!

That part makes me think that they are both, in fact very aware that there’s a big overlap between gender-nonconformance & Autism Spectrum traits, and that they’re deliberately banking on the extant social infantilization/dehumanization of autistic people to try to justify this.

uncoordinated stochastic assassinations are pointless. they don’t destabilize the state and instead give it time to adapt and spin.
easy historical example is Herschel Grynszpan. he acted as a lone wolf and didn’t even kill his intended target. without any org to push a coordinated message, the public fear/uncertainty about the act was then used by the nazis as justification for ramping up their pogroms against jewish people, queer folks, and socialists.

And it’s also the first step towards total eradication of services for the autistic. Something they’ve been trying to do for ages.
If you deny minors gender affirming care they will literally kill themselves or other people, those death will be on the republicans who deny this lifesaving treatment.
Nah, it’s gonna be on us. They’re not gonna take responsibility for it. They’re not gonna face consequences on their own. It’s not our fault, but the responsibility’s gonna be placed on our shoulders two-fold. Once as scapegoats for the ills of capitalism and again as members of the communities we organize and exist in with other queer people. No one else is gonna do the work that needs done.
