I was sure it was going to be professional genocide ghoul Shapiro. Color me surprised.
Thank fucking god honestly. Shapiro pick would have been a nightmare regardless of your thoughts on voting. An arch-zionist who volunteered for the IOF one assassination away from the presidency.
Yeah, Walz is far from a lefty candidate, but given the track record of the dems, I thought when it came down to him and Shapiro, they would make the same bad choice they’ve made basically my entire life. Not a victory by any stretch, but at least not the worst option for a change.
Also literally helped cover up a Murder and had sexual harassment allegations in his office. I wouldn’t be surprised if that played more of a role than the zionism.
Yeah that’s exactly why I was sure they would pick him. Astonishing to see the Dems not go with the worst, dumbest option available to try to appeal to the worst people in the country.
It’s so funny that they are going to handily beat trump by simply not making the exact worst decision possible at every turn (like second or third worst maybe idk).
Such a contrast from picking Clinton and Biden twice.
He’s an astonishingly bad and unpopular candidate, and losing to him once (plus almost losing again) required Mission Impossible levels of threading the bad planning and performance needles. It would be super funny if they just blew him out of the water by making a few choices that weren’t the worst available options and calling him weird a few times.
deep condolences to comrade @Frank@hexbear.net who has lived under the the Walz regime
Fun fact: Kamala is only 6 months younger than Walz
The mandatory Midwestern diet of exclusively honey ham and corn is not conducive to aging gracefully.
If you store the cream cheese within viewing distance of salt and pepper, it basically counts as guacamole.
Look it’s probably the best outcome possible for the Dems.
As communists the result of this election simply alters the nature of the fight, not the difficulty, but this makes all our enemies mad and may wrest some small concessions so it’s fun. Let’s just enjoy the moment.
I’d rather struggle against ruling class representatives who are willing to negotiate to some extent, instead of ones who want to throw us all out of helicopters. I haven’t been this close to engaging in (national) electoral politics since Bernie. Which means the controlled opposition is doing its job very well, kudos
I’m having a really hard time finding something to complain about this pick.
look up his record on uber/lyft driver protections, hospital staffing bill, calling in the national guard after george floyd
Nothing any other dem wouldn’t have also done, tbh, but he is still a dem, there’s plenty to be mad about
And yet, Republicans are attacking him for being soft on George Floyd protests. Fascists…
Walz was IN the national guard for like 25 years and had them fuckin occupy minneapolis for ages afterward (I saw online claims that they demobilized within 2 weeks but I visited during that summer and they were still shacked up outside the convention center which I think was their base of operations.)
libs and chuds alike have no conception of reality on issues like this unless they directly experience it. It’s all vibes based and heavily influenced by right wing news
He did the brutal crackdown on Minneapolis.
Governor Tim Walz activated the Minnesota National Guard in response to civil unrest. The 7,123 troops activated represented the largest deployment of the state’s forces since World War II.[35] By early June 2020, violence in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area had resulted in at least two deaths,[36] 604 arrests, and more than $500 million[7] in damage to approximately 1,500 properties, the second-most destructive period of local unrest in U.S. history, after the 1992 Los Angeles riots.[37][8][38][39] Violent protests in Minneapolis–Saint Paul over Floyd’s murder largely subsided after May 30, 2020.[30][40] The Minnesota National Guard and a multi-jurisdiction government command that responded to the riots demobilized on June 7, 2020.[41][35]
walz isn’t a cop just a liberal bootlicker
Not that the distinction is really that meaningful here
Edit: oh right he was in the national guard. Not deployed to civil unrest that I’ve seen but
I think he’s definitely the least bad of the options she was picking from (which is, again, shocking), but he’s still no leftist or even SocDem. His handling of the George Floyd protests in Minneapolis was abysmal. He’s just not a rabid genocide cheerleader or a finance ghoul.
