If they do not, he deems them “subhuman.” He is a self-admitted sexual harasser who gave a dubious apology. Despite describing himself as an anarcho-syndicalist and libertarian socialist, he does not want to abolish the government and he has admitted that his political project is nearly identical with that of social democrats. He has cultivated a cult of personality that deflects all criticism as “out of context” when he himself proudly maintains those positions as “based and high IQ.” Although most of his detractors are hardly better.

You can argue that Marxism “evolved” out of Liberalism, in the way a butterfly “evolves” from a caterpillar. They are fundamentally different things, but one was born from the other. In order for Marxism to be conceived and socialism to exist, Liberalism had to be conceived out of the bourgeois revolutions and Capitalism’s triumph over Feudalism. To refer to Marxism as if it were “Liberalism 2.0” is extremely misleading though. Marxism rejects Liberalism all the way to its idealist core, in favor of a materialist framework of comprehending history, socioeconomics and politics.
Liberalism states “This is how things would work ideally.”
Marxism states “This is how things have worked based on empirical evidence, and where we can project them going based on systemic analysis of those trends”
Liberalism gets us to a point where we could say “If everyone followed the rules, we could have a society which works this way”
Marxism refutes this model by outlining how contradictory material interests will always undermine this “ideal” system, and that if we want to reach the state of an ideal society, it must be founded on mutual, material interests (AKA Socialism), not just virtue and idealism alone (AKA “Equal Opportunity” Capitalism, something which cannot possibly exist).
