Read The Soul of Man Under Socialism by Oscar Wilde. It’s basically about how he wants socialism so everyone is taken care of and they can leave him the fuck alone to write theater reviews and buy too many lilllies.

Probably because you’ve been hurt so much by society as it is today, but somehow you aren’t completely broken, so you still want to try to make sure that nobody else has to go through the trauma you’ve gone through.
