Want to improve my german comprehension and listen to some funky beats at the same time. I prefer synthpop, alt-rock, folk pop (picture sufjan stevens), house, edm. Some artists I know are wir sind helden, stereo total, glasperlenspiel, einsturzende neubauten, ELIF, juli, kraftwerk

I really like Stolpersteine from Trettmann, but I have no idea if the rest of his music is any good
Seconding this one and adding another Trettmann song: I really dig Grauer Beton, I could listen to this one on repeat. It somewhat fits chapo too because he raps about his disillusionment with the German reunification.

I learned German mostly via Opera/Operetta. Largely Mozart/Johann Strauss/Lehar. Not exactly funky beats but some good stuff, if occasionally a bit archaic in lyrics.
