this is the normal point of view. this is what 99% of people who live in a city do. it’s okay to not treat canvassers like they’re trying to be your friend, as long as you’re not verbally abusive, ignoring them is fine. the weird thing is she felt so socially anxious that she felt like she needed to do a tweet justification so the Sweet Green sales rep wouldn’t hate her forever or something. definitely not a tweet one needs to worry about.

I hate commercials more than anyone I know. I hate sales pitches and the two-faced corporate-speak in which they’re given. But it really doesn’t take much to be polite to a human being. Pretending someone doesn’t exist is nowhere near basic decency.

i stop every time someone tries to do one of these and get it, it is their job like, it is not their fault

Is it really that hard to just cut people off when doing that or annoying calls or whatever and say stuff like ‘Hey, I know it’s your job to ask, but I am really not interested. I hope you have a good day though.’

The amount of times I’ve noticed a difference and improvement in people’s voices/body language when doing that is off the charts.
