No one should be using Chrome, Firefox is the way.
Chrome is technically more secure so I do banking on ungoogled-chromium. FF for everything else
Ungoogled Chrome doesn’t get the updates as soon as they are available AFAIK. It’s cool that FF is your primary browser though :)
Glad i changed, tho i noticed there are links that ClearURL doesn’t trim
Bit of a streisand effect. Didn’t know I wanted this until the free publicity
I use a chromium browser and there are installation instructions in the linked discussion :)
Yep… Google is very successful with this shit. They make Chrome the default browser for Android with no extension support so people can’t use adblockers
I was way ahead of you on that.
google chrome was fun for a 1-2 years back around 2012, but then I realized it ate up way too much RAM and switched back to firefox
the worst thing is that when you restore tabs from a session, chrome restores them all at once, NUKING your RAM. Firefox just leaves them in storage until you actually click on them
it’s honestly astounding to me that anybody even uses chrome. Do people have only 5 tabs open at a given time?
Oh yeah if Firefox is so good how come they get all their money from defaulting to Google search?
I don’t know i have like a 100 tabs open and playing a video file on a second monitor and my 8gb of ram and 4 core haswell i5 are struggling to keep up with firefox.
What I can’t figure out is why would anyone even consider using Chrome on Android. Firefox supports extensions on Android so you can block the ads but apparently people like seeing them or something :cat-confused:
