When she lost in 2016, I remember photos of her hiking in the woods after the fact being circulated. She could have just used that as her out. I think a lot of us would have had a microgram more respect for her if she just bowed out of public life halfway gracefully.
Instead, it’s been book tours, crying to The View, wearing silly robes at colleges her supporters could never afford to go to, and that weird cottage core thing she was doing this last fall.
