Every once in a while I get that ominous feeling that killing and specially making animals suffer just for me to eat meat, fish and lactose is extremely wrong, but then I kinda forget.
I kinda see myself hunting wild game though so it’s weird.
I live in a flat with a vegan person so most of the meals I eat are vegan. Maybe only like 2 or 3 days a week I’ll eat meat. I feel less guilty.
I used to only eat non-vegetarian if it was free. Like, if I was at a bbq and people were grilling meat anyway I’d eat it. Or if somebody made a bunch of some meat dish for a party and had leftovers they were going to throw out I’d take them. But if I was spending money I wouldn’t eat non-veg.
I don’t do that anymore but maybe that’s something to try if youre thinking about going veg but don’t want to make the full commit yet?
Went veg over a year ago after my pup died and I started feeling guilty about eating animals. It’s been pretty easy so far and I feel much healthier. I’d like to go vegan, but I really need to learn how to cook property in order to make that leap.
No tbh.
I do think ultimately that the vegan lifestyle is the correct one (With vegetarianism being a good compromise), but too many of the foods I like, favorites or otherwise, involve meat/dairy/etc. and I’m just not willing to go through the effort of replacing/giving them all up.
Already am, 20+ years of vegetarianism. I’ve considered moving towards more vegan foods though it’d probably be easier once I’m moved out and living on my own. As of late I’ve cut a lot of dairy consumption though.
