My favorite part was when he said ‘its shazzin time’
It’s kinda crazy to me that morbius has left such an impact, perhaps akin to a scar, on the super hero genre that “it’s morbin time” is so iconic, but nobody actually bothered to watch it. It’s like if an in joke between me and my friends became the slogan of the vanguard party. None of you know me or my friends, but you’re still saying my joke?
Didn’t people like the first Shazam? I find this surprising - but then again I have literally zero marketing for this flick despite being stuck using computers without adblock for a month.
I see quite a few superhero movies with a younger person and I quite liked the first Shazam. It was self-knowingly cheesy, but earnest and sweet. But I’d have absolutely zero interest in the second on because the best stuff - the realisation he’s got superpowers, kids trying to act as they think adults do, the ‘finding your family’ dynamic - doesn’t work twice and the trailer seemed to be all punching CGI dragons and cities getting destroyed or whatever just like everything else.
Not to hate on shazam but as a guy that actually likes comic books/mcu (I know shazam is dc) I never cared for him. Morbius at least looks like fun in a trashy way. Shazam just looks boring.
It’s dying
It’s finally dying
:bloomer:
I refuse to believe either of these are real Hollywood films, those screen shots look like a YouTube fan film.
