Day 1: Commit unspeakable war crimes by attempting to drown thousands of civilians.

Day 2: Put poison into the water to kill off any survivors.

Day 3: All ethnic Chinese people are rounded up into prison camps.

Day 802: Democracy and rule of law prevails.

This is why I keep my mouth shut beyond marginal policies and do community stuff through churches.

“They can’t be a communist, they did a food bank at First Baptist Church of the Holy Tabernacle of the Living Christ Northwestern Division. and commies are godless heathens that kick babies.”

Remove Strings tbh.

Every post should just be a single Unicode character and if you want to read the rest you need to go to the users page and scroll.

The absolute brainworms of even modestly far left people over how “this could never happen” is almost as depressing as it being this close to happening.

I remember when Roe V Wade being overrturned “could never happen” and “wasn’t a priority” in the senate. :yea:

This is the adult equivalent of shaking hands with sick classmates so you don’t have to take a test.

Here is my conclusion on Sam’s club/Costco.

Good if you buy name brands regularly but much less so if you buy generic stuff. Still probably worth it over a long enough period of time but you’ll be brought by degrees to buy stuff you don’t need which will probably cost you more. Their meat is about 40 cents cheaper per lb than regular so that seems like a great deal. However, once you realize you can buy clearance meat for much cheaper that discount means very little. Combine this with buy one get one free deals and the difference means nothing. Produce/dry goods are generally cheaper but never to a significant degree. Usually just a couple cents per pound which adds up but not more than the price of membership. Bread/tortillas are probably worth it coming in at 30 cents saved per item which is huge for a staple. Hot cocoa is 1/3 the price of regular store for some reason.

I’m still going to get the membership of course. But I’m fully admitting that I’ll probably spend any money saved on the hotdogs in the food court or other stuff.

Absolutely, the interconnected world of DS1 was more of a limitation in game design than a conscious design decision.

The day I realized that the reason I fell in love with a series was something they never even intended to do is the day my heart broke.

I never really felt bothered by it tbh. There was enough new content coming that it never really felt bad to go through a dungeon. Kinda like chalice dungeons in Bloodeborne.

The biggest problem imo is that half of the enemies get an upgraded re-skin in another area without changing their behaviour. Things scale weird and the balance is a bit off. That’s more of a priority to me than some optional dungeons having repeat bosses.
