Yeah I got banned from the discord for posting a stupid meme that I realized in retrospect hurt people. Just use an alt-email to re-register and you can easily rejoin the Discord server. I’m enjoying the community again in harmony while being more mindful of others.

This isn’t a hypothetical, it’s a real phenomenon in Green parties across the world. E.g. in NDP they call the Greens “conservatives with a compost”. The environmentalism movement more broadly is split between those who care about conservation (more conservative) versus climate change (more progressive). Many environmentalists are also proponents of Green capitalism, others are eco-socialists.

Similarly in local politics the Green parties are often the conservationists who favour strict zoning to protect their single family homes, against urbanists who want to build more housing, transit infrastructure and development for everybody.
